Paisley Close, Royal Mile, Edinburgh
Mixed media and pastels on archival paper, high-quality print.
Named after businessman Henry Paisley, the close emerged in the early 1700s. In 1861, a tenement collapsed, and thirty-five inhabitants were killed. Young Joseph McIvor survived, and his bust is now above the entrance.
