The Vennel provides one of the most dramatic scenes in Edinburgh, offering a great feeling of perspective and depth with its historic castle backdrop.
 
Vincent Van Gogh (1853-90) indubitably would have loved this night scene with its deep blue colours and twinkling starry skies. In Mr.J's original work, he has made the colours of the sky dominate his palette.
